Description
This is a photograph of a home olive grove located along a dirt path leading to the Adriatic Sea in Ortona, Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy. Groves such as this are still common sources of income for residents. Old olive trees can be more than a thousand years old and are often protected as cultural heritage. Cutting them down even when the trunks are hollow and dead may be prohibited in certain regions. 80% of Italy’s olive oil production occurs in central-southern Italy, including the region of Abruzzo.
This image of olive trees and their shadows in a field is ideal for hotel lobby art, office decor, or anywhere one is looking to display a picturesque scene that captures an iconic symbol of traditional Mediterranean culture. It is well suited for addition to a collection or series of nature artwork. It can be purchased in print form for decor use in the home or office, lobbies, healthcare facilities, hotels, interior design projects, and independently owned businesses (i.e. Mediterranean or Italian themed establishments, spas, coffee shops, design firms, restaurants, bed and breakfasts). Licensing opportunities for the image are available. Licensing may be appropriate for use in such print and digital venues as local and regional publications, editorials, newspapers, magazines, nature publications, advertisements, garden design media, and for building website content. It highlights man-made landforms and features a glimpse of an olive grove during the magic hour before dusk.
