Description
This horizontally oriented photograph of a serene Western Pennsylvania landscape features the black silhouette of a single tree with a fiery orange sun sinking down behind a few thin clouds towards the horizon of a warm summer sky. The scene was photographed at the golden hour in rural Butler County (Renfrew), Pennsylvania. Warm tones of orange, gold, peach, red, purple, and yellow play softly together and harmoniously contrast with the black silhouette of the finely textured foliage of the tree. The composition is easy to understand and offers a peaceful mood to any interior. It is well suited for a collection of nature artwork united by a theme of simplicity, sunsets or sunrises, or color palette.
The image is for sale in both print and digital form. Suggested use is for decor in homes, offices, lobbies, healthcare facilities, hotels, and independently owned businesses such as spas, retail locations, bed and breakfasts, coffee shops, design studios, and restaurants. Licensing opportunities for the image are available. This may be appropriate for use in such print and digital venues as local and regional publications in Western Pennsylvania, editorials, newspapers, magazines, hiking or nature publications, environmental journals, advertisements, biophilic design publications, scenic design media, art media, and building website content.
Scenes such as this one improve health by connecting the viewer with nature, thus reducing stress. Biophilia is defined as the urge to affiliate with other forms of life. Studies show that humans have a deep biological need to be in a natural habitat. Biophilic design compensates for the deficiency left by increased urbanization by reincorporating natural forms, colors, textures, and spatial qualities into everyday life.
Biophilic design has been proven to increase well-being, draw out positive emotion, reduce stress, boost productivity, and spark creativity. Design work built around the concept of biophilia is in high demand across industries, in home environments, and even entire cities are being restructured. This nature-inspired wall art is appropriate for healthcare, hospitality, commercial, institutional, residential spaces and other interiors where one is looking to promote a therapeutic atmosphere. Some applications include:
Healthcare – waiting areas, lobbies, treatment rooms, patient rooms, cafeterias, hospice
Hospitality – hotel lobbies, restaurants, spas, casinos
Commercial – retail spaces, corporate offices, coffee shops
Institutional – airports, government buildings, schools
Residential – bedroom, living room, home office, den, remodeled basements
Artwork displayed in a healthcare setting should have a calming effect. Simple forms, restrained color, and a soft minimalist aesthetic make this versatile artwork particularly suited for use in a medical environment where complex emotions and stress are often prevalent. It is also an excellent option for many decor themes whether they are residential projects or commercial projects. There are many beautiful nature-themed design elements available for your interiors.
